Annoying noise

Hi,
I just bought this product, which I think is quite good, but I have one big problem with it. Even when it's power off, the speaker still does a sound, like it's not completely shutdown. It's not very loud, but I definitely can't sleep with it by my side. I have to use the mute button on the remote to shut it down... which is really inconvienent to use the typhoon as an alarm clock. Do you have a solution to overcome this problem ?
Thanks for your help.

Hi, I just received my Typhoon and I have the same problem. The only way to prevent the speakers from making noise is to press mute: but the problem is that I want to use my Typhoon as an alarm  clock... so I do not hear the alarm!!! Is there a way to fix it?

I also have this problem and am very disapointed not beeing able to use it as an alarm clock.
That noise, when it s off,  is annoying! even for a simple timer or music player.
Why considering the product able to be sold if it still has problems?
